Short answer

A long-running cottage resort on the Ravangla–Pelling road, a few kilometres from Ravangla town. Two wings at different prices, lawns and gardens, an indoor fireplace in the dining room, and a wide view over the Rangeet valley to Narsing and Kabru.

Mt. Narsing Village Resort has been one of Ravangla's familiar addresses for years. It sits off the highway towards Legship and Pelling, among village fields rather than in the market, so evenings are quiet. The roadside wing is simpler and cheaper; the annexe has cottages and better rooms with mountain views. The restaurant serves Sikkimese, Indian, Chinese and continental dishes.

We use it for value-tier trips where guests want a garden and a view without resort prices. It is a short drive to Buddha Park and Ralang Monastery and an easy start for the Maenam walk. Rooms are not luxurious, and standards vary between wings, so ask for the annexe if the view matters. Breakfast is usually included in the rate.

Why we book it

What it does well

  • Garden cottages with views of Narsing and Kabru
  • Quiet location away from Ravangla market
  • Easy drive to Buddha Park, Ralang and Borong

Questions travellers ask

Questions about Mt. Narsing Village Resort

How far is Mt. Narsing Village Resort from Buddha Park?

Roughly 15 minutes by car. The resort is a few kilometres from Ravangla on the road towards Legship and Pelling, and Buddha Park is just above Ravangla town. Ralang Monastery is around 20–25 minutes away. A taxi from the resort to Ravangla market and back costs about ₹300–500 if you do not have your own car.

Which wing should we choose?

The annexe wing with cottages has the better rooms and the mountain view, and costs more. The roadside wing is cheaper and fine for one night, but simpler. If you are visiting in October–November or March–April for the views, the annexe is worth the extra. Confirm the wing in writing when you book.

Is it warm enough in winter?

Ravangla is around 2,000 m and drops near freezing on December–February nights. The dining room has a fireplace, and rooms have heaters on request, sometimes for a charge. Pack thermals, a warm hat and socks for evenings. Clear winter mornings bring the best views of Narsing and Kabru.
