Sobralia is the most complete hotel in South Sikkim: lift, suites, spa, gym, meditation room and a restaurant that can handle a large family or group. It sits on the road from Namchi to Siddhesvara Dham (Char Dham), so you can be at the Shiva statue before the coach parties. Upper floors look across the Rangeet valley to the Kangchenjunga range.
We use it for premium and comfort-plus trips where guests want hotel services rather than a cottage resort. Note that South Sikkim has no five-star palaces; Sobralia is the top of the local market, not a Taj. The casino area is small. Ask for a high floor facing north for the mountain view.

Questions travellers ask
Questions about Sobralia Hotels Casino Resort & Spa
Is Sobralia the same as Summit Sobralia?
Yes. The hotel was earlier marketed as Summit Sobralia Resort & Spa and now trades as Sobralia Hotels Casino Resort & Spa. Some booking sites still show the old name. It is the same building on the road between Namchi town and Siddhesvara Dham (Char Dham).
Does Sobralia have a lift and easy access?
Yes, it is a multi-storey hotel with a lift, which makes it one of the better choices in Namchi for seniors or anyone who finds stairs hard. The rest of Namchi's sights involve some walking: Char Dham has ramps and steps, Samdruptse has a long flight of steps up to the statue.
How far is Sobralia from Samdruptse?
About 20–25 minutes by car, through Namchi town and up the Samdruptse road past the Rock Garden. Char Dham is closer, roughly 10 minutes. A full Namchi sightseeing circuit from the hotel (Char Dham, Samdruptse, Rock Garden, Ngadak monastery) takes 4–5 hours with a car.
