Aritar is about 10 km from Rhenock, a 20 to 30 minute drive. Wikipedia describes Lampokhari as the only boat-ready lake in Sikkim, at about 1,400 m.

Walk the 45 minute shore path, take a boat if the counter is open and eat lunch at a lakeside stall. Boat fees are usually a few hundred rupees at most. Go early to avoid crowds.

Combine with the dak bungalow and gumpa if you have time. Return to Rhenock before dark. The area is outside the Silk Route protected zone, so no permit is needed.
