The monsoon arrives around the second week of June. Rain is heavy, fog sits on the loops, and slides cut NH10 and the Rongli–Zuluk road often, sometimes for days. Views of the snow peaks are rare. The lower villages are lush and quiet, and Aritar and Rolep still work for a slow stay if you keep dates flexible. We do not suggest the high Silk Route this month. Check current status before you travel.
