Photograph the bridge and gorge
Photograph the Singshore Bridge from the road bends above it and from mid-span, with the forested gorge, waterfalls and the far ridges, using soft morning light before cloud rises and fills the valley.

The classic picture of the bridge is taken from the road above the Dentam end, where the whole span stretches across the gorge with forest on both walls. Ask your driver to stop on a safe bend with space to park, and use a moderate wide angle to keep the bridge and both sides in frame.
From the deck, look down for the stream and along the gorge for the thin waterfalls that appear in and just after the monsoon, in September and early October. In clear months, October to March, the morning light is clean and the far ridges stand out; afternoons often bring cloud rising from the valley.
Do not fly drones without the permissions now required in Sikkim, keep tripods out of the roadway and step aside for traffic. Ask before photographing local people crossing the bridge.

Questions travellers ask
Before you book
What is the best time to photograph Singshore Bridge?
Early to mid-morning from October to March, when the light is soft and the air clear. September and early October add waterfalls on the gorge walls, with more cloud. By afternoon cloud often rises from the valley, which can make moody pictures but hides the far side of the gorge.
Can I fly a drone at Singshore Bridge?
Drone flying in Sikkim needs permissions under Indian drone rules and often from local authorities, and the area is not far from the international border. Unless you have arranged permission in advance, do not fly. Rules change, so check current status before you travel.
Where is the best viewpoint for the whole bridge?
The road bends above the Dentam end give the clearest view of the full span with the gorge behind. Your driver will know where it is safe to stop. From the Uttarey side the view is partly blocked by trees. For close detail, walk to the middle of the deck.
