Check post stop and bazaar lunch

A practical stop: clear the check post, withdraw cash and have a plain lunch in the bazaar before heading up to Gangtok or across to Aritar.

Every vehicle entering Sikkim stops at the Rangpo check post, and Wikipedia says foreign tourists must show documents. Keep photo ID and permits ready for everyone, and be patient on weekends.

The bazaar has small eateries serving thali, momos, noodles and fried snacks, and shops for water and snacks. Eat where it is busy.

Refill cash and water here. If you are going to Aritar or Rongli, buy supplies now. Check current status of NH10 before you continue.
